Cycle North Honda Remains The Team to Beat with Two Rounds to Go

Jeremy Medaglia Sweeps Saturday night main events

It was a crazy weekend inside the barn of Heritage Park in Chilliwack, BC. Coming in both Jeremy Medaglia and Ross Johnson were one point apart for the overall championship chase. Things got heated under the tent as both riders fought hard each lap even banging bars a few times during the Friday night. The fierce competitors that Jeremy and Ross are finally showed as this title winds down. After the dust settled Ross still leads the open class, while Jeremy leads the Lites and the overall points.

Ross Johnson Open Class Leader with 213 points:

“I put myself in bad situations on Friday night that I shouldn’t have. My starts were off all weekend long and that doesn’t help anybody in Arenacross. I lost a good chunk of points for the overall, but still have a comfy lead in the Open class which is important for me and Cycle North to win. I’ll fix what I did wrong this weekend and come out fighting for wins in Cloverdale March 7-8.”

Jeremy Medaglia Lites Class leader with 212 points:

“It was crazy racing this weekend but that’s expected when your racing in a small space. It started crazy for me in practice Friday when I had a small crash about a lap in and wrecked my rad. I had to use the heats to get in my groove for the night. It got a little heated between me and my teammate Ross this weekend which may have gotten a little out of hand. It settled and from then on the weekend was awesome for me and the team. I swept both mains on Saturday so I now have a good lead for the overall points. I just need to be consistent in these last two rounds ad bring home this #1 plate.”

Team Manager: Kourtney Lloyd:

“At the end of the day being a team manager can be tough sometimes. This weekend was hard when Ross and Jeremy came together. I can’t pick a side or share how I feel. I just make sure their bikes are good and they can get on that gate to battle for the win. The team is 1-2 in the points and that’s what matters to me. That’s what our sponsors want to see.”

The racing heats up once again on March 7-8 inside the Agriplex in Cloverdale, BC for the final two nights of action. Be sure to come out and cheer on Cycle North. Thanks again to all our amazing fans, customers and of course the sponsors:
