When you are a dealing with a top level rider like him other teams are bound to come knocking and I think Colt’s confidence in us is a testament to the hard work our entire team has put in over the years and the direction we are heading” said Schuster. “First and foremost our goal is to win another championship in ’16, but at the same time we want to maintain our Canadian presence on the track and have a brand ambassador that embodies all that is Honda, needless to say Facciotti was the only guy in our sights” added Derek.
“It’s been quite a while since I haven’t had contract talks and my future lingering in the back of my mind and this deal is going to let me focus on nothing but my training regiment and riding” said Colton. “When a group like Honda Canada, GDR, TLD and my teammate’s gives you the nod for 3 years it’s a huge boost in confidence and will be a big motivating factor every time I get on my bike…these are the guys I want to go to battle with and bring home our next championship” he added”.

With the signing of Facciotti early in the off-season, and Jeremey Medaglia secured under his current contract, GDR has both it’s MX1 and MX2 riders for the 2016 season locked down. “Having the team set in mid-September will allow us to really focus on pushing the program to the next level for 2016 and develop new and innovative ways to promote Honda Canada, TLD and our supporting sponsors” said Schuster. “We’ve got some big upgrades coming for both Colt and Jeremy’s off-season program and I think the entire team is looking forward to regrouping shortly and getting back down to business”.
