It’s been a while since I’ve written one of these but I’m so glad to be back. I’ve been looking back on all my thousands and thousands of photos from each round of the 2017 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals, and I can say whole heartedly that I miss my moto family up in Canada. Everyone welcomed the Denzler family with open arms and showed us all so much love that it has us feeling so thankful.
With 2017 almost behind us, I’m very much looking forward to see what opportunities lie ahead next year. With the new Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Series starting up in 2018, it should be vey interesting to see what changes are to come. With the series starting up at one of my favourite tracks in Calgary, my family and I cannot wait to once again head west next May. I’m also excited to see tracks like Sand del Lee and Walton come back on the circuit in 2018, as well as Prince George. This upcoming year is going be very exciting.
To give you an update on my family, after an amazing summer of racing and traveling across Canada, we settled down and just hit up the local practice tracks. We have our own corner track that comes in very handy sometimes. As you can probably tell, we’re a very close-knit family and we love to just hang out and do stuff together. I’m also extremely proud to announce that my brother is switching from being on a Yamaha for the past five years to the mean orange machine that is KTM! As much as he loved his Yamahas, he couldn’t be happier with his decision! As a sister speaking, he looks the most comfortable on a bike than he has ever been before.
In the meantime, I’m still taking photos, working out, and being the typical annoying little sister. But recently, I am just being a motivational speaker for Kein, and limping around the tracks taking photos for him. I say “limping” because I broke my foot about three weeks ago. After watching a type of MMA movie called “Never Back Down” with my family and friends, I got a big head and thought I could in fact fight like them. Wrestling around with the boys, I found myself eventually limping upstairs to find a huge hard lump on my foot. Three hours later I decided to have Mom take me to the ER and that is when I found out the bad news. After a crazy summer of walking around motocross tracks mere feet from screaming dirt bikes, I end up getting hurt just playing around at home. I guess that’s what happens when you’re just trying to be one of the boys!
During the next few months as winter sets in, we hope to head down to Florida to train until Ohio is rideable again! Then we’ll prepare to head back up to Canada and continue our wonderful journeys across the country. Our plan is to race the full MX series and also a few of the SX events in the fall. As I mentioned above, we had such a great time this summer travelling through Canada and meeting so many awesome people.
In closing, I’d like to give a shout out to everyone at MXP Magazine, especially to Palms for helping me out so much throughout the year. I look forward to working with him next year. I’d also like to shout out TeamLTD for offering the coziest, comfiest lifestyle clothing out there! Go check them out on Instagram and purchase some goodies for the holiday season. Until we speak again, be safe and Happy Holidays to all of my Canadian friends.
