MX101 is pleased to announce Jesse Pettis is joining the MX101 / FXR / Yamaha Team for 2016.
“Jesse is a great Canadian kid who shows the same serious commitment to his racing that MX101 has to developing riders to become top racers”, said Johnny Grant. “Dylan Wright is with the team again of course, and is ready for this year. With Jimmy Decotis not returning, we feel the time is right to bring on another Canadian kid who wants to work hard and develop into a champion”, said Kevin Tyler. 
Jesse rode for Yamaha in 2015 to a 9th place finish in the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals.
“Our focus is to develop Canadian talent through our pro rider support program. Jesse Pettis is another kid, like Dylan Wright, who has come through the program successfully, represented his sponsors well and has earned his way onto the MX101 team. We will support Jesse and Dylan the best we can to make another Canadian 250 champ for Yamaha”, said Bryan Hudgin from Yamaha Motor Canada.
Jesse is training down south for the winter, and said “I’m very excited to be working with everyone over at MX101 / FXR/ Yamaha. The team seems great, and I feel it’s a perfect fit for me. I’m excited to get the year started.”
Andy White from FXR is excited to see Jesse on the MX101 / FXR / Yamaha Team as well, “Jesse has been on FXR’s radar since he moved up to the big bikes. He comes from a great family that has supported him from day one. I’m excited to see what he can do on this year with the support of MX101 / Yamaha and FXR.”
