When you watch the mini racers in Kawasaki Canadian Arenacross the first thought is you’re watching the future of the sport unfold right before your eyes. The talent pool in each of these classes is so stacked that any of these names mentioned has a shot at the Matrix Concepts sponsorship package. Jacob Piccolo looked as if he was going to take advantage of this opportunity, but a handful of crashes and mistakes have knocked him way back in the standings. Walton Trans Can 50cc 7-8 champion Julien Benek has capitalized on Piccolos’ mistakes and has a commanding lead over the rest of the field. As we all know anything can happen in Arenacross and there is still tons of racing left. All these kids have a never say die attitude as they put their head down racing for the Matrix Concepts sponsorship package. None of these kids will give an inch till the championships checkers fly in February.
“It’s pretty cool to be sitting 3rd overall in the points. I need a new stand for my 65, and I want to get my sponsors logos put on it as well. I’m going to give it my all for the rest of the series and see where I end up,” states contender Devyn Smith
The top three Mini riders with the highest point total combined points between 50cc,65cc and 85cc classes will be rewarded the Matrix Concepts sponsorship package at the end of the series.
