Pirelli Riders Prepare for Texas to Complete Monster Energy Supercross West Coast Swing

ROME, Ga. (USA) February 18, 2016 – The Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, is set to take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas this Saturday, February 20, for Round 7 of 17. This weekends stop in the “Lonestar State”, marks the last stop of the west coast swing before the series heads east.

BTO
Holeshot

It has been a strong, consistent start to the season for BTO Sports/WPS/KTM’s Justin Brayton, who has completed every race inside of the 450SX Class top-10. He currently sits ninth place in the 450SX Championship points. Davi Millsaps is fresh off of his third 450SX Heat Race win of the season, ultimately showing that he has the speed to put his Pirelli-backed BTO Sports KTM on the podium. He will have his sights set on the podium this weekend in Dallas.

Andrew Short made his return to racing in San Diego after being sidelined with a pre-season injury, which marked the first time this year that BTO Sports/WPS/KTM has fielded all three riders. In his first attempt of the season, “Shorty” qualified for the 450SX Main Event. He will be expecting to better his result this weekend in front of friends and family in the state he now calls home.

Weston Peick

Autotrader/Monster Energy/Yamaha’s Weston Peick is gaining momentum and inching his way closer to the front-runners after missing the opening rounds. He recorded a season-best ninth place this past weekend, but hopes to continue improving the more laps he gets under his belt. JGRMX fill-in rider Phil Nicoletti has been a regular face in the 450SX Main Events, qualifying at every round since taking over for the injured Justin Barcia.

Killian
Auberson

The TPJ Racing team is a popular spot in the paddock for privateer racers that possess the ability to bang bars with the sports factory stars. Nick Schmidt’s performances have been nothing short of impressive, consistently battling in 450SX Main Events. His teammate, Killian Auberson made his second 250SX Main Event of the season this past weekend in San Diego. He plans to use the confidence to his advantage and improve his Main Event finish starting this weekend.

Kyle
Cunningham

Despite a first turn crash during last weekends Western Regional 250SX Main Event, Kyle Cunningham continued his forward progress and completed more passes than any other rider on the track. As a Texas native himself, Arlington will serve as his hometown race and he will be looking to put his Motorcycle Superstore Suzuki into the top five.

Supercross action from AT&T Stadium gets underway on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 5:00p.m. PT and can be viewed on FS1. Check local listings for channel information.
