Richmond, Ontario, Canada – The Royal Distributing Fox KTM Team composed of Kaven Benoit and Tyler Medaglia posted their best combined results thus far this season. Kaven went 2-1 for 1st overall and Tyler went 3-4 for 3rd overall. Kaven extends his points lead while Tyler betters his results each weekend. The weather held up Sunday as the racing got underway, but the humidity was ever present. The track at Sand Del Lee developed many ruts as the dirt was composed of sand mixed with loamy soil. Many spectators were on hand to witness some of the best racing thus far this season.
In the MX2 class Kaven Benoit was incredible. He placed second in the first qualified practice and in Moto 1 was right on the heels of Politelli the entire moto. In moto 2, Kaven was untouchable leading the pack the entire moto and coming away with the win and the overall on the day. The track proved to be extremely difficult to pass as many sections possessed one fast line. The track was littered with ruts as the sand was constantly changing each lap from the pounding laid upon it by the fastest riders in the MX2 Class.
In the MX1 class Tyler Medaglia had some great practice lap times. Tyler grew up in Ontario and it was no surprise that he felt at home on the sand track at Sand Del Lee. Tyler shines in the sand and was extremely impressive aboard his KTM 450SX-F. In Moto 1 Tyler got off to a fantastic start and moved into the 3rd position where he would fend off the competition and finish. Tyler had a great start in Moto 2 and charged hard to finish 4th in the Moto with results of 3-4, Tyler was able to obtain 3rd overall.
Look for the Royal Distributing Fox KTM Race Team to better their results at the next round of the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals in Deschambault.
