PR:Big Dust-Up in Tillsonburg

Big Dust-Up in Tillsonburg

Two weekends ago, the track was coming off a long stretch of cold weather and the track was good but frozen, which seals the moisture down and dust follows a few days after. Luckily, it has only happened once this year as temperatures soared upwards after and by Wednesday we had the most beautiful damp and groomed track you could ever have for the middle of winter. By February 1, cold temps had returned and the 4th race of the Tillsonburg Indoor Thunder Series was the coldest yet.

The cold weather did not stop Evan Perry from dominating on his little Yamaha Pw 50 with another 3 moto overall win in the 50 Beginners.  Aaron McAlpine of Caledonia won his first overall win in the 50 Junior class while Hunter Bauer of Niagra Falls took his first overall win in the 50 Seniors. Second-time winner in the 65cc class was Connor Stevenson of Campbellville. The 85cc class also had a first-time winner as Tyler Evanitski from Aylmer went 2-2-1 for the best overall score. Kyle Brown of Hamilton managed to win both the Small Frame and Midsize Modified classes using a stock DRZ 110. The kid is FAST.  First-time Tillsonburg racer Bennett Amyotte from Blackstock took the overall win in Large Frame Pitbike.

Other news this week is Chris Pomeroy is putting on the 2nd of 3 young rider training sessions Thursday Feb. 7th. If you would like to participate, drop us an email at inquire@chesterman.ca  We have decided to shut down on Family Day, Feb 18 2013 for a well-deserved rest but will re-open the following day. Before driving, always check the online schedule.
