Courtland, ON- Team Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing is excited to announce the signing of 19 year-old Dylan Wright to our race program. Wright will be aboard the GDR CRF250R through to the completion of the 2018 season after signing a 2-year deal with the team. The upcoming young star has a long list of amateur racing accomplishments and had a break through professional season last year which saw him finish 3rd overall in the highly contested MX2 series. Team owner and manager Derek Schuster is excited to have the young Canadian aboard.
“Dylan, is a phenomenal young talent with a tremendous presence both on and off the track and we are very excited to have him join our program. Beyond filling our need for a top-level MX2 racer, we are looking to the future and I’m excited about the dynamic of a Facciotti-Wright combo under our tent. It’s always good to have a young guy there to push the veterans and from Dylan’s perspective I don’t think there is a better guy than Colt to help him as he develops into an elite pro racer” “I am honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing team.” Wright said. “ This team is very reputable. They have a solid program, great bikes, and have proven that they have and will do what it takes to win championships. I am always looking to improve my riding and having such a great mentor in Colton will be a huge asset for me as I look to move my career forward. I believe change can be a good thing and I am grateful that the GDR Fox racing team has put their faith in me. ” Coming off a challenging 2016 season Team Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing and its members are happy to have these off season question marks put to rest so early. “It gives everyone around the team confidence and excitement to get this put to bed so quickly and allows us lots of time to come together as a team. We needed a big boost this off-season, plain and simple. Colt is going to have an all new CRF450R under him this year and now with the addition of Dylan to the mix there is a lot to be excited about around our camp.
