I say MY photo report because it is not THE photo report for a few reasons:
A) I am not a photographer
B) I race 5 motos during the day and miss out on watching/capturing all the classes and/or notables.
C) I take too many pictures of just the people I know, so out of the good pictures I take they are likely my friends (I apologize for this and will improve on getting more diverse pictures..promise)
This was our pit set up for the day. The Cubie back in action.
Everyone getting collected for the meeting. Love learning the flags again for the season and how a flag start would be used if the gates failed.
Steamy AM course.
Explosives master, Bryan Dean out for practice. A proud Ginger.
Jr/Beg Yam/Suz practice about to start. Just like the rest of the country, it’s awesome to see big turnouts; a positive for the sport.
Scott Thorne enjoying morning traction.
TJ Martin scoping out a left-hander that had a couple nice ruts in it all day.
Grayson Langill might not have been impressed that I was standing in his hot line.
Damon Burbine… Style for daysssss
A little pile up in practice. I remember a certain Matt McGuinness crashing there at the national in 2007, ending up on the other side of the fence, and not recognizing his own Dad. It ended up being his last race ever.
Kyle Doiron had a solid day placing 3rd in 85 12-16 and 2nd in Super Mini
My camera assistant/PODIUM1 Suspension lad/Team KTM Tech Adam Turner with Dawson Hood.
Cody Joudrie explaining how his boss was going to make him sand and paint his boat instead of letting him race.
Makayla Clark asking if I can set the hotshot device on her KTM50 as she runs a stiff fork set up and has problems setting it herself. Malcolm Ferris on the gas! He isn’t taking off here, he is just landing after clearing the “KLATTAPULT”.
Hugh Henderson reping some pretty sweet gear. Camo all the way.
Brett Alexander getting a little bucked, but when in doubt – pin it! 5th in MX2 JR
Dude, your tail is waaay too straight.
The man, the mystery, KP$ helping out young speedster Jordan Melanso.
Larry McCaw: If I had a choice, he would be my pick to cover the Nationals and join Travs/Koster one the show. Top notch announcing.
So quaint.
Brett Young tearing up the track on his 150 – smooth style. He was undefeated in the 85 and Super Mini classes.
Brock Landry launching one of the several refaced jumps on the Riverglade track. One of five Landrys racing.
Kyle McLeod ripping down alongside the spectator jump with the infamous sign in the backdrop.
Earle Doucette, Head Ref, has not missed one event at Riverglade since it started 35 years ago.
The Ladies class races beside the highway in the GP section.
David Belbin getting blasted with some roost on his TM.
Mitchell Fraser riding his big brother’s bike in GP JR. 2nd OA and 1st in MX1 JR
Reid Chappelle had a good ride in the JR moto, catching and passing a bunch of riders then taking off with the win.
Soaking up the nice day at the track.
Brett Doiron taking his son Tucker for a rip back to the pits after the last moto of the day.
I also take family portraits. Davey Fraser is out with a broken thumb. He got cross jumped at the Quebec City AX. He’ll be back soon and will be a threat in the mx2 class on his TM250 two -troke come national time.
Motocross is easy man just sit back and twist the throttle.
Kyle Chatham getting ready for a Pro start on his CRF450 he named “Hannah”. He rode strong in all of his motos.
Johnny Dunbar did not have the best gate pick and got Adam to capture it.
Logan Gallant rode fast all day. I ran after my moto to try to catch the last lap of the Schoolboy class but only managed to shoot a sweet idol speed through the pits after he took the win.
Abbie Landry, the father of Brock, taking the win in the Vet class.
My buddy David Strang getting aggressive on his yz250. He spent a few months training in Florida with my brother and I. Had a solid day going 2nd OA in Pro and 3rd OA in Youth. Another fast rider taking advantage of the new two-stroke rule.
Brandon West tried doing a little testing in the last moto with no springs.
See you at Mill Hill.
