Atlas Brace Presents Style Check- A Championship Day

As we all saw last weekend in Las Vegas, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider Jason Anderson was able to race to a solid fifth place finish in the main event. Anderson’s finish in Vegas might not have been his best of the season but it was enough to give him the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Championship. This was Anderson’s first ever 450 SX Championship, and if he rides like this again next year, this may not be his last title. With the championship on the line, the pressure that Anderson was dealing with during the day in Vegas was immense. Obviously, a lot can go wrong during a race day. Not only does a rider have to deal with the races at night but they also have three long practice sessions, as well as numerous other obligations. Jason Anderson appeared to handle it all very well, and in the end this is why he is our 2018 Supercross Champion. For this week’s Atlas Brace Style Check, we take a look at Jason Anderson’s Championship winning day in Las Vegas with some incredible Frank Hoppen photos.

Prior to practice in Las Vegas, Jason Anderson was obviously deep in thought about how his day would go.

Everyone knows that sitting around waiting to get on the track is the toughest part of race day.

Once he hit the track Anderson was riding as loose as ever.

During practice the Vegas track was very challenging.

In between practices Anderson took some time out for his growing legion of fans.

During opening ceremonies Anderson gets introduced to the crowd. His night is about to begin.

At this point we’re sure that Anderson just wanted to get his night of racing underway.

During his heat race Anderson rode smooth and made it straight into the main event.

This photo really shows how hard packed and difficult the Vegas track was throughout the evening.

This duo has battled hard all season long and now it all came down to just one more race.

During the main event Anderson rode very smooth and managed to stay out of trouble. His fifth place finish was good enough for him to win his first ever 450 SX Championship.

The moment every rider dreams about!

After a great championship season, Anderson gets a big hug from his teammate Dean Wilson

With the 2018 Monster Energy SX Champion all his, it was time for Anderson to do the customary burn out.

Moments after the 450SX main event, championship t-shirts were handed out.

After a successful 2018 season, it was time for the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team to celebrate.
