When it was announced that Seattle was returning to the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross schedule, very few thought that it would present itself as such a pivotal round of the series. However, after a little rain and a very difficult track, 450SX top guns Eli Tomac and Ryan Dungey both battled adversity during the 20 lap main event. When all was said and done in the Emerald City, these two legends left the Pacific Northwest tied in points with just three rounds remaining. After holeshotting the main event, Jason Anderson had his best race in weeks and put his Husqvarna on the 450SX podium.
With limited practice and very difficult track conditions, there were unfortunately some very big crashes in Seattle.
After going down in turn one, Ryan Dungey rode like the champion he is and clawed his way all the way back to fourth.
With the 250SX West class starting back up in Seattle, points leader Justin Hill felt like he had a lot to prove. During the main event, Hill rode smart and cautious to finish in second.

The riders on the podium were both happy and relieved as they held their hardware high.
Even after a restart in the main event, no one could stop Aaron Plessinger on the rutted track as he took home the second win of his young career.
After a long week of getting ripped in the press, Chad Reed quietly had one of his best rides of the season in Seattle going from almost last to 9th.
With his dominating rides in the past few weeks, it is now clear that if Eli Tomac doesn’t win this 450SX title, it will be because of his own mistakes.
