Kyle Keast goes back to school

 

Students of Jack Callaghan Public School in Lindsay, Ontario prepared two weeks in advance, researching motocross and included the sport and their special guest in their every-day curriculum.  Math activities related to motocross, English class was to include motocross-related speeches and students even took turns writing morning announcements about motocross and the much anticipated arrival of Kyle Keast.

 

Hallways were covered with Kyle Keast colourings, posters and speeches.

On Wednesday, May 15^th Kyle Keast, and guests, Mandy Hodgkinson, Kyle Carruthers and Brittany Thompson took center stage in the school gymnasium in front of nearly 200 attendees including students ranging from age 4 to 14, parents, teachers and members of the Jack Callaghan Public School Council to speak about what they all love…..motocross.

 

                                    

 

They all presented fun and interactive speeches about safety, riding, racing, support, mistakes, successes, and of course the kids were all thrilled for the feature, Kyle Keast.

 

 

After the entertaining and informative presentations, the students were anxious to get outside to see Kyle and Brittany up close.

The students were overjoyed to get an authographed poster from each of the riders, their photos taken with the stars and they all roared with excitement when Kyle geared up, started his bike and took it for a ride around the playground and up and down the soccer field.

The kids also went home with a gift bag that included some fun items from Yamaha Motor Canada, Kyle Keast, DMX, Podium Grafix, Machine Racing and John and Jean Maguire even donated an event ticket to every student (when accompanied by an adult) to a MMRS race.

 

 

May 15, 2013 marked a night to remember for Jack Callaghan Public School students who attended “Motocross Mania” and was also a successful and enjoyable night for Kyle Keast, Brittany Thompson, Mandy Hodgkinson, Kyle Caruthers and myself.
