Summertime With Summer Denzler- The Final Chapter

As we all know, we just finished our last race of the 2017 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals presented by Motovan and I can honestly say it flew by! So many amazing memories and opportunities came out of this summer for me and my family, and I couldn’t feel more blessed!

Round 10 at RJ’s was only a 7-hour drive for us so we didn’t leave until Friday morning. It was perfect weather when we first got there but then the rain came in, which made the paddock a little sloppy, but at the same time it was good for the race track.

With a few up and comers having their Pro debut on Sunday, the beautiful weather and track conditions made for an unforgettable final race! Austin Watling #424 and Marco Canella #146 showed up with their game faces on and both got a taste of what the pro life is like. Next year will be interesting to watch these riders grow and see what they’ve got.

A huge-congratulations has to go out to Matt Goerke (MX1) and Shawn Maffenbeier (MX2) as they took the championships in the 2017 season! You really see all the hard work and dedication that these riders put in throughout the whole season, and the smiles and tears you see when they pull off from the last moto is priceless.

Since we had some time to spare on Friday, we decided to head over to beautiful Wasaga Beach to relax by the water. Photo by Summer Denzler.

One of the interesting things about the RJ’s track is that it’s located only 20 minutes from Wasaga Beach, so of course we had to go and check it out; I am so glad we did! It was absolutely beautiful! Just another beautiful memory of this summer I can add to the list. Wasaga Beach was a relaxing getaway with many small shops and eateries. It’s the world’s longest freshwater beach, and if that doesn’t attract a crowd, the paddle board and beach shops make this beach an amazing daycation! I have honestly had such an unreal summer I can’t wait to do it all again next year!

As I wrap this final entry up, I would like to say thanks to the amazing people who helped me progress in my photography throughout the year! Chris Pomeroy at MXP Magazine, Andy White, the entire MX101 Yamaha FXR Racing crew, and the whole track crew as everyone that was so friendly and welcoming! The Canadian pro motocross scene is relaxing, friendly and fun, even during the busy race day! I am looking forward to next year so I continue my dreams of traveling the world and capturing it and motocross on camera!
