Yamaha Motor Canada Presents Behind the Lens- Abbotsford AX Press Conference

With the gate dropping on the opening round of the 2018 Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Series tomorrow evening, some of the top riders and their team personal gathered today at the Abbotsford Arena to introduce themselves. Since the track was not quite finished, there was no riding today, just a lot of questions and answers. While each rider had some different things to say, the one thing they could agree on was that that they’re all ready for this exciting new series to begin. James Lissimore was on hand and sent us a few photos from today’s opening press conference.

With this weekend being not only Marco Cannella’s first ever pro arenacross, but also his first race for the MX101 FXR Racing Yamaha Team, you can see why he looks so excited.

Cole Thompson and Tanner Ward are in Abbotsford representing the KTM Thor Racing Team.

Even though Colton Facciotti hasn’t raced this early in the year for a decade, he was all smiles on Friday as he answered questions.

Even with the blizzard outside the arena, Dylan Wright was super-pumped to be on the West Coast.

Dillian Epstein is ready to take part in his first race for the Rockstar Energy OTSFF Yamaha Team.

No one said that the pits were going to be big in Abbotsford.

Shawn Maffenbeier’s new Monster Energy Alpinestar Piller’s Kawasaki gets some work done on it inside the tight confines of the Abbotsford’s Arena.

In what feels like his 20th season in the pro class, Tyler Medaglia appeared as eager as ever to go racing.
