It’s hard to believe that we’ve already reached Round 4 of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series. As the riders head to Arizona this weekend they will be greeted by warm temperatures and the dry desert air that we all love. After three exciting rounds in 2018, it will be interesting to see which riders will adapt the quickest to Saturday’s unique track design. With more floor space than usual, the Glendale track looks like it’s going to provide some higher speeds, perhaps more passing opportunities, and obviously some close racing. In the past, this race has always had very hard packed and slippery soil, so it rewarded riders that were able to control their throttles the best. If you look at the riders in the 450SX class that have been on the podium in the first three races this year, you would think that the conditions at Round 4 will most likely suit either Marvin Musquin or Ken Roczen the best. Is Musquin healed enough to run at the front of the pack? And is Ken Roczen ready to win races yet? Those are two very big questions that will only get answered once the gate drops on Saturday night. This round in Arizona has always provided some great racing, and we don’t think it will be any different this weekend. It all gets underway early on Saturday as the gate drops on the first 250SX West heat race at 17:30PST. Here are the updated points standings as the series heads into Round 4:
