As the Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Series draws closer, Carlson Racing announced this past weekend that 450 rider Keylan Meston and 250 rider Casey Keast will join Davey Fraser and Wyatt Waddell for the 2020 season. This will definitely be a team to watch out for this season as they will have a great mix of both young and experienced riders under their tent. All four riders will be exciting to watch and should challenge for Top 5 positions throughout the Triple Crown Series.

For Keylan Meston, this looks to be a great deal as he will be racing a 2020 Husqvarna FC450, one of the best bikes on the racetrack. Also, with Blackfoot Direct as one of his main sponsors, he should have access to WP Pro Component Suspension. This package should help Meston find the speed and consistency needed to be a solid Top 5 450 rider all season long. Last year Meston finished 6th overall in the Triple Crown MXTour Series, even grabbing a career high 5th overall at the final round in Walton. Look for Meston to have a solid 2020 season aboard his Carlson Racing/ Blackfoot Direct Husqvarna. Meston had this to say about his new deal, “I’m really excited to be with the family that has shown me undying loyalty and friendship. This team has also done a great job in creating opportunity for racers from the west who fly under the radar. I’m working very hard with my training and I cannot wait for the gate to drop this summer.”
For Casey Keast, this new deal could be the spark that he’s been looking for to realize his true potential. Keast is still young, and since we can remember has been a member of the Blu Cru. In the past, we’ve seen riders change brands and for whatever reason they go on to find some great success. Since Keast turned pro a couple of years ago everyone has been waiting for him to break through and show the consistent speed he did as an amateur. A new bike and a new team might be exactly what Keast needs to be a front runner in the 250 class this summer. Casey had this to say about his new deal with Carlson Racing. “I am very excited and thankful for the opportunity that Brent and Trevor have given me. This year will be a big learning experience for me as I have never been on a team before. However, I’m very comfortable with the Carlson Racing Team so it’s going to be a great fit for me. I was 11 years old the last time I raced a bike other than Yamaha. I can’t thank Yamaha enough for what they have done for me throughout my career. This is a refreshing change for me and it’s just what I needed. I’m really excited to be apart of a team and have a solid group in my corner.”
The Carlson Racing MX Team will be an exciting one to watch in 2020 and we wish them the best of luck. With the 2020 Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Series kicking off in two months time, all of the teams and riders appear to be falling into place.
